New Naratif Explains

NN Explains is an ongoing comic series that explains important political concepts, mechanisms, and events throughout Southeast Asia. Under the DDS grant, I will work with artists, writers, and translators to produce ten NN Explains comics on two themes: indigenous rights and voter education in Malaysia.

These comics will be translated into multiple languages and distributed for free on NewNaratif.com as well as through print booklets and a physical exhibition. They serve as an accessible point for sparking dialogue and action around the two themes, which will be explored further through public panels and talks with invited creators and experts. In addition, we will partner with Undi18 to use the voter education comics in their programs for secondary school students in Malaysia.
